Terms & Conditions
Last updated: August 2026
Welcome, and thanks for shopping with Scaffolding Supplies for Sale. We’ve tried to write these terms in plain English rather than dense legal jargon, so you can actually understand what you’re agreeing to when you order from us. Please have a read before you place an order — by ordering, you’re confirming you’re happy with everything below.
If anything here isn’t clear, just give us a call on 01243 767688 or email sales@scaffoldingsuppliesforsale.co.uk and we’ll be glad to talk it through.

About these terms
These terms apply to everything you buy from our website. From time to time, we may update them, for example, if the law changes or we adjust how we do things, so it’s worth checking back now and again. Whichever version was live at the time you place your order is the version that applies to that order.
Placing an order
We’re an online business, so orders are placed and paid for through the website. Here’s how it works:
- You add what you need to your basket and head to the checkout.
- You’ll see your delivery cost calculated at the checkout before you pay, nothing hidden.
- Once you’ve paid, you’ll get an order confirmation by email.
That confirmation email is an acknowledgement that we’ve received your order, it isn’t us formally accepting it just yet. A contract between us is formed once we’ve accepted your order and dispatched your goods (or confirmed they’re ready for collection).
Very occasionally we may not be able to accept an order, for example, if an item is out of stock, if there’s been a pricing or description error, or if we can’t deliver to your area. If that happens, we’ll let you know as soon as we can and refund anything you’ve paid.
Please make sure the details you give us at checkout are correct, especially your delivery address and contact number. We can’t be responsible for delays caused by incorrect information.
Prices and VAT
We’re VAT registered, and the prices shown on our product pages are displayed excluding VAT. VAT is added at the applicable rate at the checkout, so the total you pay will include it.
We do our best to keep prices accurate and up to date, but if a genuine error slips through, we’ll contact you before processing the order and give you the choice to continue at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.
Delivery costs are shown separately at the checkout and depend on your order size and location.
Payment
Payment is taken online at the time you order, through our secure checkout. We don’t offer trade accounts, credit terms or 30-day invoicing; all orders are paid for up front, whether you’re a trade customer or buying for a DIY project.
Delivery
We deliver across England and Wales. Unfortunately, we’re not able to deliver to Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man or other UK islands.
Your delivery cost is worked out and shown at the checkout before you pay, the larger the order, generally the more competitive the transport cost works out per item. If you’re a long way from us and only ordering a small quantity, the delivery charge will reflect that.
Deliveries are made by us or by a trusted transport company on our behalf. On the odd occasion an item isn’t in stock at our yard, we may arrange for it to be sent directly from one of our suppliers. Either way, you’ll pay the same price and the same delivery charge, it makes no difference to you.
We’ll always try to get your order to you as quickly as we can, and we’ll give you an idea of timescales where we can. That said, delivery dates are estimates rather than guarantees, and we can’t be held responsible for delays outside our control (bad weather, traffic, courier issues and the like). If a delivery is running late, get in touch and we’ll chase it up.
Please make sure someone is available to receive and check the delivery. Larger items like scaffold tubes, boards and towers can be heavy and bulky, so it helps to have a hand ready to unload.
Click & Collect
You’re welcome to collect from our yard near Chichester (Aldingbourne, West Sussex) if that’s easier. A couple of things worth knowing:
- Please call us first on 01243 767688 to check your items are in stock and ready before you set off — it saves a wasted journey.
- Collections are during our opening hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 to 17:00 (excluding bank holidays).
Stock availability
We stock over 200 products and keep our website as up to date as we can, but stock levels can change quickly. If something you’ve ordered turns out to be unavailable, we’ll contact you to arrange an alternative, a restock date, or a full refund, whichever suits you best.
This is especially worth bearing in mind with used stock, as availability varies. If you’re after used boards or tubes, it’s always best to call ahead
New and used goods
We sell both new and used scaffolding equipment.
Used items are exactly that, previously used and reclaimed, so a bit of wear, marking or weathering is normal and to be expected. Every piece of used stock is inspected before it’s sold, and it’s popular with trade and DIY customers working to a budget. We describe used goods honestly, but they won’t look or perform like brand-new stock, and that’s reflected in the price.
Product information and suitability
We’re here to supply the equipment, not to specify or design your project. We can help point you towards the right products if you’re unsure what you’re looking at, but we don’t provide structural calculations, quantities, load ratings or assembly instructions. Scaffolding and access equipment must be selected, erected and used by competent people in line with the relevant regulations and manufacturer guidance, and that responsibility sits with you.
Also worth noting: we sell scaffolding, we don’t erect it. If you need scaffolding put up, our sister company West Sussex Scaffolding can help.
Cancellations, returns and refunds
If you’re a consumer buying online, you have the right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 to cancel most orders within 14 days of receiving your goods and return them for a refund. Some exceptions apply (for example, items cut or made to your specification).
The full details, including how to return something, the condition it needs to be in, and who covers return delivery, are set out on our Returns & Refunds page. Please have a read of that before returning anything or just call us and we’ll walk you through it.
If something's faulty
Your legal rights are protected under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Goods we sell should be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. If something arrives faulty, damaged or not as described, let us know as soon as you reasonably can, and we’ll put it right, whether that’s a repair, replacement or refund.
If you can, please check your delivery when it arrives and tell us about any damage or shortages promptly, as it makes things much easier to sort out.
Our liability
We take pride in what we supply, but there are limits to what we can be responsible for.
We’re liable for losses you suffer as a direct and foreseeable result of us breaking these terms. We’re not liable for how the equipment is used once it leaves us, including erection, assembly, loading, or any work carried out with it, as that’s outside our control and down to the competence of the people using it. We’re also not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, such as loss of profit, lost working time or project delays.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can’t be limited or excluded under the law. Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected by anything here.
Intellectual property
The content on this website, text, images, product descriptions, logos and so on, belongs to us or is used with permission. Please don’t copy, reproduce or reuse it without our say-so.
Your privacy
We only collect the information we need to process your orders and run our business, and we handle it carefully. You can read exactly how in our Privacy & Cookie Policy.
If something goes wrong
We’d always rather sort a problem out than see you unhappy. If you’ve got a complaint or something hasn’t gone to plan, please get in touch on 01243 767688 or sales@scaffoldingsuppliesforsale.co.uk. We aim to respond to enquiries within one hour during office hours, and we’ll do our best to resolve things fairly and quickly.
