The heavy-duty gripper coupler for Heras fencing is engineered for the most demanding UK construction sites, events, premises and utility projects, providing rock-solid panel connections that remain secure and stable, even in strong winds or when the panels are subjected to climbing. Constructed from robust electro-galvanised steel and equipped with a uniquely designed high-grip jaw, this coupler consistently outperforms standard fence clips and plastic alternatives in every test.

Gripper coupler FAQs
Where is this product mainly used?
This coupler is primarily used on construction and civil engineering sites, at events, festivals and concerts, for utilities and roadworks, in pedestrian management and crowd control situations, and for establishing long-term or high-security perimeters.
How many couplers do I need?
For a standard site fence perimeter of around 100 meters, it is recommended to use two gripper couplers per panel, a total of roughly 110-120 couplers. When fencing is located in high-wind or exposed areas, three couplers are recommended, with about 160 to 180 required per 100-meter stretch. Solid hoarding boards also require three couplers and approximately 160 to 180 for every 100 meters. For anti-climb or maximum-security fencing, use 4 couplers per 100 meters, for a total of 220-240.
Are they galvanised or painted?
They are electro-galvanised for strong rust protection, making them suitable for coastal or long-term use.
Does this coupler fit the round top or non-standard Heras panels?
The gripper jaw is compatible with tube diameters ranging from 38 mm to 50 mm and is suitable for both round-top and flat-top panels.
Can overtightening damage the bolt?
No, the M12 high-tensile bolt is designed for repeated heavy tightening with a standard fencing spanner.
