Designed to lock the stabiliser brace firmly into grass or soil, these heavy-duty pins provide excellent stability and prevent your Heras panels from toppling in high winds or from accidental impacts by plant machinery.
2 pins are required per stabiliser. For hard surfaces, pair your stabilisers with our heavy-duty fencing rubber feet instead for added stability.

How do you install heras soil pins?
Installing the soil pins is a straightforward process that ensures your temporary fencing panels remain secure, especially in soft ground conditions. Follow these simple steps for quick and effective installation.
- Attach your stabiliser or backstay to the Heras fence panel as usual.
- Line up the pre-drilled holes in the stabiliser base plate with the ground.
- Insert the soil pin through the hole until the top hook sits over the stabiliser plate.
- Push firmly by hand into softened soil or use a lump hammer/club hammer to drive fully home.
- Repeat with the second pin on the same stabiliser.
Important: Soil pins are only suitable for soft ground (grass, soil, earth). For concrete or tarmac, use concrete bolts or base plates with bolts.
How many soil pins do I need per Heras panel?
Each panel requires one stabiliser and two soil pins (1 panel = 2 pins).
Can these be reused?
Yes, simply pull them out with a claw hammer or a similar tool and reuse them on your next job.
Will these pins work in very wet or clay soil?
The pointed tip and 444mm length enable superior penetration and secure anchoring, even in wet clay or dense soil. In exceptionally soft or muddy conditions, some users use a sledgehammer to achieve greater depth.
Are the pins galvanised or zinc-plated?
They are fully pre-galvanised, so they remain rust-free even after years of outdoor use.
