Readylok transoms are metal units on which scaffold boards are placed to create the working platform. They can be used on traditional tube-and-fitting scaffolds or system scaffolds, as they are designed to speed up and economise scaffolding installation by reducing the number of fittings required compared to conventional steel scaffolds.
The Readylok transoms provide support and increase stability for upright tubes and ledgers in a scaffolding structure. They are made in set sizes with fixed couplers on the ends, which attach standards (vertical) and ledger (horizontal) tubes in the correct position whilst providing self-alignment. They play an essential role in a scaffold’s overall stability and safety.

They are available in three sizes intended for use with standard scaffold boards (225mm wide): 3 board wide (8.32kg), 4 board wide (8.66kg), and 5 board wide (9kg). All have a load class of 3 in accordance with BS EN12811 and a safe working load of 2.0 kN/m2 for general purposes and 3.0 kN/m2 for heavy-duty use.
