4.1m aluminium scaffold beams are primarily used in scaffolding, construction, civil engineering, and other scenarios where structures require support or spanning; these include cantilever scaffolds, bridging over conservatories and entrances and exits on buildings, temporary roofs and staging or light rigging. They are very lightweight and made from aluminium; however, they can take on heavy loads and resist bending; they have a permissible moment of 20.2kNm and an allowable shear of 17.7kN for weight bearing.
Our 4.1m alloy beams are 450mm wide, weigh approximately 17kg, have a wall thickness of 4.0mm, with a top and bottom chord diameter of 48.3mm.
Features
- They comply with BS EN 1999-1-1 and Eurocode 9 standards and are known for being 15x stronger than steel beams and less than half their weight.
- These beams can connect to steel scaffold tubes using standard scaffolding fittings.
- This product can also be known as a lattice beam.
- Beams can be connected end-to-end using 2 spigot connectors and 8 spring clips per beam. The spigot connectors are inserted inside the beam’s ends.
- These beams are made from 6082 aluminium metal, part of the wrought alloy and magnesium and silicon family, which offers superb corrosion resistance.
- The 4.1m aluminium scaffold beams comprise parallel tubes called chords, diagonal tubing between the chords that gives a lattice effect and vertical filler bars to ensure they maintain their strength.
